Informed by ancestry that is both Nanai (Siberian Native) and Chinese-American, he has traveled across the polar regions working with Indigenous cultures and wildlife. On assignment, he has fled collapsing sea ice, chased fin whales in Greenland and found kinship at the edges of the world.
